What is Mindfulness

"Within you, there is a stillness and a sanctuary to which you can retreat at any time and be yourself."
-Hermann Hesse
Perhaps Herman Hesse said it best. But what after all is mindfulness? To me, it is the ability to be completely in the moment.
Easier said than done for most of us.
How does one practice or be mindful when dealing with the often repetitive tasks of homemaking.
How does a homemaker with littles manage to be present and aware while folding laundry or cooking?

Inspiration
In 1977, Richard Bach wrote one of his best pieces of work, Illusions.
One year later a young woman purchased that copy and kept it safely hidden from the elements of time.

As I browsed through my parent's library, I chanced upon this book.
It has travelled with me everywhere since, whispering it's little nuggets of wisdom.
Mindfulness & Homemaking
So what is the connection between mindfulness and homemaking, and why is it important?

Mindfulness is the practice of being fully engaged in the present moment.
This can lead to a more organized, peaceful, and harmonious home environment.
Mindfulness can enhance the experience of homemaking by allowing one to find joy and satisfaction
in routine tasks.
Through visual storytelling via my YouTube channel, I show how mindfulness practices can be incorporated into homemaking routines, offering tips and techniques to those who are interested.
Homemaking via Visual storytelling
Homemaking through visual storytelling on YouTube is a creative way I use to share the art of creating a warm and inviting home environment. Homemaking in it's essence is a creative and necessary practice, one that everyone must do in one capacity or another.

By sharing my creative process and living space with you, the reader I hope to one day build a community of like minded individuals, a space where they would feel connected and valued.
